About a year ago, my wife and I packed up our life in Manhattan and moved to Western Massachusetts with our two daughters. Slower pace, more space, and honestly — a much harder look at what we were spending and why. That move made me get serious about the gap between what we earned and what we actually kept.

Hustle for Dollars came out of that process. I wanted a place that treated people like adults — no hype, no overnight riches, just honest information about earning more, saving more, and building better habits around money.

I’ve tested the survey sites, the cashback apps, and the side gig platforms you’ll find recommended here. Some are worth your time. Some aren’t. I’ll tell you which is which.

When I’m not writing, I’m usually out hiking the Berkshire trails, tending to a garden that produces more zucchini than any family needs, or fishing the local rivers with my daughters.
